Bi-monthly Journal of articles on current directions, problems, and exemplary approaches in visual art education. Articles may focus on art curriculum, teaching strategies, innovative programs, or a special area of the curriculum such as studio, criticism, or art history. Each issue includes four full-color art reproductions with commentary and lesson plan ideas for K-12.
NAEA News
Informative bi-monthly newspaper with reports of national, regional, state, and provincial developments affecting art education… plus news of affiliates and divisions, grants information, book reviews, and much more.
Translations
A publication summarizing the most important research in a particular area of art education (e.g., drawing) so that K-12 teachers can make practical applications in their classrooms… 2 issues a year.

To support and improve art education programs in our schools, NAEA pursues a policy of Education, Communication, and Empowerment.
Education
Over the last several years, NAEA has produced and circulated hundreds of thousands of its national goals and checklists for quality art education to parents, school principals, legislators, college deans, business and community leaders, school board members, high school guidance counselors, and others who affect art education programs.
Communication
NAEA officials regularly meet to discuss arts education issues with the U.S. Department of Education, National School Boards Association, National Endowment for the Arts, National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, American Council for the Arts, Getty Center for Education in the Arts, Alliance for Arts Education, National Association of Secondary School Principals, and other education organizations who are actively concerned with the quality of art education in the schools.
Personal and Professional Empowerment
NAEA provides expertise, training, and tools which enable members to effect change on their local levels.
