The National Art Education Foundation and the Board of Trustees invite your participation in the development of the National Art Education Foundation. The Foundation is a nonprofit Virginia corporation formed to support the National Art Education Association. Since NAEA is not a grants-making association, the Foundation was established as an independent, sister organization to provide support for a variety of art education programs. Foundation grants are made to NAEA members only.
Goals
The principal goal of the National Art Education Foundation is to receive, administer, and dispense funds, properties, and gifts of any kind. More specifically, its purpose is to assist the National Art Education Association in its efforts to represent the teachers of art in America; to improve the conditions of teaching art; to promote the teaching of art; to encourage research and experimentation in art education; to hold public discussions on art related matters; to sponsor institutes, conferences, and programs on art education; and to publish articles, reports, and surveys about art.
Tax Deductibility Authority
Tax deductible gifts of funds and gifts of bequests are sought to assist the Foundation to achieve its purposes and goals. Gifts to the National Art Education Foundation are deductible as charitable contributions to the maximum extent permitted by law for federal income, estate, and gift tax purposes.
The Internal Revenue Service has granted the National
Art Education Foundation tax-exempt status under section
501(c)(3). Donors, corporations, and foundations interested
in making gifts or grants under section 501(c)(3) may
obtain a copy of the Foundation's exemption letter from
the Foundation's Secretary/Treasurer, Deborah B. Reeve,
EdD.
