Founded in 1947, NAEA is a non-profit, educational organization with a membership consisting of over 23,000 art educators from every level of instruction: early childhood, elementary, intermediate, secondary, college and university, administration, museum education, and lifelong learning. Membership also includes publishers, manufacturers and suppliers of art materials, parents, students, retired teachers, arts councils, and institutions--anyone concerned about quality visual arts education.

NAEA Advertising Policy
NAEA encourages the dissemination of information concerning art education products and services that benefit or contribute to the professional development of its members and the students they serve. NAEA reserves the right to accept only advertising that follows NAEA policy.

NAEA Advertising Terms and Conditions
Payment: Accounts are due and payable 30 days from the date of invoice. First-time advertiser or agency on behalf of first-time advertiser must remit full payment with first insertion. Payment may be made by purchase order number or charged to VISA/MasterCard/American Express. Billing address must be included.

Cancellations: No cancellations will be accepted after camera-ready deadline.

Short-Rates: Advertisers who do not insert the contracted amount of advertising space (within 12 months from date of first insertion) will be short-rated.

Inaccurate Rates on Insertion Orders: Inaccurate rates will be treated as clerical errors and advertisements will be published and charged at the appropriate rate in effect at the time of insertion.

Composition: Advertisers are requested to furnish camera-ready copy, with the exception of text for job openings.

Format: Materials may be submitted electronically or on disk. Digital files must be compatible with the Mac version of InDesign. Files may be InDesign, TIF, PDF, or EPS and must include all fonts and illustrations when appropriate. Word or text-only files will be reformatted in InDesign. PDF proof will be provided if necessary.

Additional Advertisement Preparation: At NAEA's discretion, advertisers  maybe billed for any additional work to complete preparation of ads.

Advertising Agencies: Advertising agencies will receive 15% commission on ad placements if said agency supplies final art. Publisher reserves the right to disallow an agency commission if remittance has not been made in full within 30 days. An advertiser will become liable for payment of any invoice to its agency if the invoice becomes past due by more than 30 days.

Tear Sheets: Tear sheets will be sent to the advertising organization as proof of advertising, with the exception of convention catalog advertisements.

Material Destruction: All production materials will be destroyed six months after publication unless otherwise noted.

Color Ads: Full page cover rates for Art Education magazine inlcude color. Color proofs must be supplied. for other sizes, please request information. NAEA News and NAHS News are all black/white.

Trim Size: Art Education: 8 1/8" x 10 7/8", saddled stitched. Line screen for printing is 133. Bleed ads are accepted on full page cover ads; allow 1/8" on each trim edge, 300 dpi resolution. NAEA News and NAHS News: 11 3/8" x 15" newsprint. No color or bleeds. 180 dpi/. Convention Catalog: 8 1/2" x 11" perfect-bound book, approximately 200 pages. No bleeds.
